Caption :

This is what Hurricane Erin looked like to satellite on September 10, 2001. Bermuda has sunny skies again and is visible in the image as a small aquamarine smudge almost directly south of the eye of the hurricane. Also visible in this image are phytoplankton blooms over the Grand Banks and off the New Jersey and Delaware Shores, the north edge of the Gulf Stream, bright aquamarine water in Lake Michigan, and thick aerosol in the air over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
